Leica GS50 GPS/GIS Data Collector

The GS50 GPS/GIS data collection package offers full expandability, real-time accuracy monitoring, true two-way dataflow, superior performance and upgrades to centimeter-level accuracy.

MaxTrak technology makes data collection even easier with improved signal tracking under dense forest canopies. Coupled with the GIS DataPRO office package, it is one of the most innovative and flexible GPS/GIS data collection product on the market today.

                                          Please note: Adobe Acrobat Required]

Full expandability

The GS50 is expandable to/from our GPS Surveying product line. This means that you can at any time expand your GS50 collect GIS data a 1cm level accuracy (RTK) and even include survey data collection functionality on the same user friendly platform.

True two-way dataflow

The GS50 can take your GIS data into the field and update every aspect of this file, position, feature and attribute values. This is an invaluable function for updating your GIS data.

Native ESRI shapefile format

The GIS DataPRO software uses the ESRI shapefile as its native format. Consequently, ESRI shapefiles can be read directly by the software eliminating the need for translation.

Superior performance

Under dense foilage this is gauranteed by Leica Geosystems' patented ClearTrak™ technology. And with the additional MaxTrak™ function, you can measure where other receivers can't see the wood for the trees.

In addition, the GS50 GPS/GIS data collection system also offers the following features:

  • In-field line and area calculations

  • Nested points, lines and areas

  • Easy to follow navigation functions

  • Export to Microstation, AutoCAD and MapInfo"
